"The classic burger looked good... Vibrant colours that popped from the bun and a heap of deliciously near-liquidised American cheese brought back memories of devouring my first Shake Shack burger in New York City... Bread Meats Bread will be feeding hungry Glaswegians for years to come."

I love Bread Meats Bread, this should come as no surprise to you, I’m sure! For my money, they are, without a doubt, the best burger spot in Glasgow.

"When you bite into it for the first time is like being hit with a burger spade of loveliness. Layers of sauce, burger and cheese that whack you over the heat and melt in your mouth....... and tend to drip all over the place as well. This is the juiciest most tasty burger you will find in this city - you have my guaranteed promise!"

Calling this stunning effort a burger made me feel like I was doing it a huge disservice. The meat was cooked to perfection, juicy, rich in flavour, and the strips of pork delivered an extra kick.

"..This was still a drool-inducing doozy of a burger. Naturally, given that quality, Bread Meats Bread was buzzing on a Thursday lunchtime, its tables crammed with folk greedily hoovering up burgers, dogs and meaty BBQ sandwiches from enamelled plates, as Radiohead were almost drowned out by the sizzling of the hotplates in the open kitchen.."

"I love the fact that everyone who visits BMB is treated equally - there are no reservations so you have to queue just like everyone else. Also, one side order might actually be enough between 2!... This is a humble burger restaurant and it deserves its reputation. Staff are super helpful and friendly, toilets are dignified and spotless. We'll be back, and in greater numbers!"

Lothian Wolf was an utter beast. Housed in a perfectly domed toasted brioche bun and skewered through the top with a wooden pick like a tent pole propping up an oversized marquee was a faintly pink chargrilled inch-thick patty, a mound of soft and sweet pulled pork slathered in barbecue sauce, a couple of melting blankets of orange cheese, squares of bacon, crunchy trimmings of onion and a slick of spicy 'Nduja mayo. It tasted good, of course it did...Absolutely packed with stuff, but cleverly so, with layers of flavours rather than just a big wad of lard.
